Ralph and Sons is one of a kind. Reliable, knowledgeable, quick, trustworthy , excellent over- the -top customer service. They’ve been servicing our many cars for about 10 years. If needed they will often pickup and deliver my car or me. Recently, I was stranded in the Bronx after hours on a Saturday night. I called Ralph to see if it was ok if I had my car towed to the shop, which was closed until Monday. Ralph responded saying he was on his way to me. Ralph and Tim, came and got me in the Bronx. Got my car to the shop in mt Vernon. And drove me home. Angels. I can’t speak more highly . Great Mechanics. Even Better people.

Incompetency to another level. Brought in my vehicle in due to still making a rattling noise over bumps after spending $2,000 on rear and front struts, mounts, and stabilizer bar link. Dropped off vehicle at 8am so they could take their time diagnosing the issue. 4pm rolls around no update. I give them a ring and they say they are test driving it, clearly low priority here since I already spent the money. Claims to call back when they have completed the test drive. 515pm rolls around which I know they close at 530pm, and I go to the garage just in the nick of time to see them lock up the garage and completely forget to call me. The owner then tells me they need more time and completely ignores the fact they kidnapped my car. I asked to have my vehicle and they kept on insisting they need more time and they finally gave in. Several vehicles had to be taken out of the garage to get mine out, hence why they didn’t want to take it out. Completely baffled, I said no more. The next couple of days the car is still making the noise it originally did and I got mad and said I spent a lot of money and I want them to resolve it. Brought it back, claimed to have replaced the struts under warran

Couldn’t recommend Ralph & Sons enough! The engine started smoking on the West Side Highway on a Friday afternoon and we had to scramble to find somewhere, luckily we ended up at here. We were treated like a long time customer from the moment we pulled up. We appreciated the competence, support, honesty, and warmth. We’re back on the road as we speak!

Stopped by towards the end of the day on Saturday and spoke to Ralph and Tim about my brakes. Dropped the car off Monday night, Tuesday it was diagnosed and Thursday I had my car back and fixed. Quick, honest and fair pricing. Definitely using them again next time I need something.

I've been coming here for decades and, with the new ownership in recent years, it's as good as it's ever been. They're friendly and always explain what and why something needs attention. And they're not afraid to tell you that sound you were hearing was nothing more than a simple, quick adjustment to something and you're out of there in minutes. So, I'm never worried about any "surprise diagnoses" with inflated repair bills. CASE IN POINT: A few years ago I went to them for a headlight replacement for my former car. They told me what supplier sold the part and the cost. Out of curiosity, I checked around and found that was the only supplier who had it in stock so I called them and they gave me the exact same price and that was the price on my final bill. So, there was no mark-up on my repair bill. They told me who supplied the part and had nothing to hide. If the repair is needed, they'll tell you. If it's not, they'll let you know. Members of my family have also made Ralph & Sons their go-to mechanics. No complaints!
